Getting started
2 questions
How do I start playing?
Join the Discord server, run /verify <your exact in-game name> to link your account, then just join a queue on the site — no sign-up elsewhere needed.
Why does /verify only work for EU accounts?
WG's regional servers are separate, and players on different regions can't join the same training room — EU is the only region with enough players right now to support real queues.
Queues & matches
9 questions
How do queues work?
3v3, 5v5, and 7v7 lobbies are always open — join one, and once it fills, a ready-check starts automatically.
What's the ready-check?
Everyone in the filled lobby has 2 minutes to confirm they're ready. Anyone who doesn't gets dropped from the queue automatically.
What happens if I miss a ready-check?
You're removed from that queue — no penalty beyond that on the site itself, though repeatedly no-showing tends to get noticed by staff.
How are teams decided?
Balanced automatically using a skill rating the matchmaker tracks in the background — not the same number as your visible rank, and not something you can see directly, just something that keeps games fair.
What's mapban?
Once teams are set, both sides vote on maps automatically — no admin needed.
How do I submit match results?
Upload your .wotbreplay file after each game. Matches are best-of-3, so upload one file per game played, not one for the whole series.
Why didn't my replay count?
A few common reasons: the battle didn't have a decisive winner (draw/unfinished), it's a duplicate of one already recorded, or the roster in the replay doesn't match who's actually in your match. Replays also have to come from PC or Android — iOS can't produce them.
What if the series never finishes?
It just stays open until the deciding game is uploaded — there's no time limit, though staff can step in if something's actually gone wrong.
Can a match get cancelled?
Yes — staff can void a match if something legitimately went wrong (disconnect, dispute, etc.). If you think a match should be voided, report it rather than assuming it'll get caught automatically.
Rating & rank
5 questions
How does my rating change after a match?
Once a series is decided (not after every individual game), you gain or lose rating based on the result, how tough your opponents were relative to you, and how you personally performed — carrying a win earns more, a strong performance in a loss softens it.
What are the ranks?
Bronze, Silver, Gold, Diamond, each split into five divisions, then Legend at the top (no divisions there — you're ranked by position instead).
Is it easier to climb than to hold a high rank?
Yes, by design — climbing out of Bronze is worth more than climbing out of Legend, and holding a high rank is deliberately harder than reaching one.
Is there a limit to how much I can gain or lose from one match?
Yes — no single series moves your rating by more than 300 points, regardless of the rest of the math.
Do 2v2, 3v3, 5v5, and 7v7 share the same rank?
No. Every playlist has its own rating and rank. Your global rank is the average of playlists you have actually played, so an unplayed format never lowers it.
Seasons
2 questions
What happens when a season ends?
Visible rank resets for everyone. Your hidden matchmaking rating does not — that keeps games balanced accurately even when everyone's back to a fresh rank.
Do I lose everything I earned?
Your rank resets, but if you finished last season above where you currently are, you'll climb back to that level faster than normal until you catch up.
Rewards
2 questions
What do I get for playing or ranking up?
Season rewards progress like Rocket League: earn 10 wins in the target league or higher to secure that reward tier. Wins can come from any playlist.
How is the global Legend position calculated?
It uses the average rating of the playlists you have played. If you only compete in one playlist, only that rating counts.
Conduct
2 questions
What happens if I'm reported for bad behavior?
Staff review player reports and can take action, including banning someone from queuing, for a set time or permanently.
Can I get unbanned?
Contact staff — bans are reviewed case by case.
